Abstract

The Stepped spillways structures are useful order to control the flood of energy dissipation and reduce the size of the stilling basin to down spillway. This is consistent with the mechanism of RCC structures and methods of construction stone tour, also prefabricated concrete parts made extend application. Hydraulic simulation is a form of physical simulation using similar scale, simulate flow. The advantage of this simulation is the potential of the simulation of complex flows. In this research physical simulation was created in a legged flume, two models with downstream slope 1:7. (Vertical ratio horizontal). Spillway crest of the curve was associated with standard with six staircase in simple form and five staircase in triangular form. The two models of stepped spillway and stepped spillway triangle (half the standard step) was constructed in the flume and experimental measurement and was record with different flow. Based on the results the amount of energy dissipation in the stepped spillway was more than stepped spillway (triangular). So, the triangular stepped spillway was ineffective, than stepped spillway, in dissipationing energy.
