Abstract
Critical thinking is a multidimensional concept and includes complex mental activities and processes, which is the desired ability to imagine, analyze and evaluate all kinds of information in order to determine their authenticity and validity. The components of critical thinking include questioning, breadth of mind, mental purpose and persistence, mental courage, persuading others and building mentality, courage and stability in thought, spontaneity, intellectual participation and skepticism. Strengthening critical thinking is necessary for the current and future development of children and society, and children's magazines can play an important role in developing the components of critical thinking. One of the ways to cultivate critical thinking in children is children's magazines, which, if written correctly, can have a great impact on teaching critical thinking. Considering the role of children's magazines in shaping children's thoughts and mentality, the purpose of the research; Examining the application rate of critical thinking components in al-Hosseini al-Saghir magazine. Al-Hosseini Al-Sagher magazine is one of the children's magazines focusing on teaching religious and religious basics, which is available for free and in PDF file on this magazine's website. The method used in this research is the content analysis method, the statistical population of which is the content of 20 issues (from June 2019 to January 2021) of al-Hosseini al-Saghir magazine. The results of this research show that the components of questioning and intellectual participation have received more attention than other components of this magazine
