Abstract

One of the ways to achieve urban sustainable development is to provide required facilities and services to the people residing in the urban neighborhoods. The balanced spatial organization in the cities is a kind of urban sustainability and when will be happen that logical consistency and compatibility between the distribution of population and distribution of services in cities arise. Hence, the aim of the present study distribution of public utilities between the city neighborhood and its relation to population density, also identify the stable neighborhoods in accessing these services. In this study, the Semirom city with seven neighborhoods as an example was investigated. Research method is descriptive and analytical and based on the library studies and attributive. In this regard, analysis of the data using of the software Arc GIS, SPSS and TAPSIS models have been conducted and the results in the form of map, tables, graphs and Images resulting from finding of this study is presented. According to TOPSIS model and using of 10 indicators of urban public services, Khajegan and Dohan neighborhoods as the most stable, Dolgar and Mandegar relatively stable and Ghale, Jangal and Kooshk unstable areas in terms of distribution services have been recognized. The relation of Distribution of Population and distribution services was according to the Spearman's coefficients (0/687), which represent a direct connection between of these two variables. According to the analysis, distribution of services in level of the neighborhoods in the city of Semirom is not fair. Thus, logical and harmonious relationship between population distribution and distribution services in heptad neighborhoods in the city of Semirom to achieve sustainability seems necessary.
