Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify Braconidae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) fauna focusing on subfamily of Alysiinae in Fars province. The sampling was occurred in 2008-2009 in Fars province. To collect the parasitic wasps net sweeping, Malaise trap and yellow pan trap were used in the nature. All specimens differentiated based on their traits in the laboratory. The key of Wharton et al., (1997) was used. This study yielded 11 subfamilies, i.e. Agathidinae, Alysiinae, Aphidiinae, Blacinae, Braconinae, Cheloninae, Euphorinae, Microgasterinae, Opiinae, Orgiliinae and Rogadinae. In this research, 6 new genus from Alysiinae entitled Aspilota Foerster, 1862; Chorebus Haliday, 1833; Dacnusa Haliday, 1833; Lepton Zetterstedt, 1833; Orthostigma Ratzeburg, 1844, Synaldis Foerster, 1862 and 10 new species entitled Aspilota sp., Chorebus affinis Nees, Chorebus groschkei Griffiths, Chorebus neardiremptus Nees, Chorebus stilifer Griffiths, Chorebus tamsi Nixon, Dacnusa hospital Foerster, Lepton gracilis Curtis, Orthostigma beyarsalani Fischer, Synaldis concolor Nees for Persian fauna were reported. The other geographically new species for Persian fauna entitled Glyptomorpha nachitshevanica Tobias, 1976; Orgilus kasakhstanicus Tobias, 1986; Chelonus erythrogaster Lucas, 1758 and Phaedrotoma robusta Telenga, 1959 were reported from the subfamilies of Braconinae, Orgilinae, Cheloninae and Opiinae respectively. One new subfamily (Orgiliinae) also was reported for the first time in Iran.
