Abstract
The supplying the food security of households is goals of economic, social and cultural programs, therefore, estimating the level of household food security is very important. In this study, was evaluated the food security in rural areas of Zahak using the opposition strategies index in 2015-2017 years. 80% of the households studied have used opposition strategies in dealing with food insecurity and food were in poor condition. the factors affecting the level food insecurity are annual income, employment status of head of household, occupation of household head, distance of village to city, family members, access to mobile, access to agricultural extension workers, addiction-headed households, Which can be the efforts to improve the employment status of heads of household income, increase people's awareness through agricultural extension workers, largely in order to achieve the optimal level of food security step.
