Abstract

Today, in the field of interdisciplinary studies, much attention is paid to the relationship between sociology and literature. In the critique of sociology, literary work is valued from the perspective that society and the artist and his work are inextricably linked. The body is one of the social elements that is a vehicle for achieving the literary and cultural characteristics of a period in the history of literature. David Lobroton, one of the theorists of this field, believes that behaviors, movements and bodily gestures contribute to the biological structure of human beings; But the major part of it is formed within the society and forms the identity of the society. This identity is represented in various ways, such as internal, individual, cultural, and social identity, which is mostly sociological. On the other hand, the constituent factors of the literary text and the relationships within it are involved in both the process of producing the body and the process of reading it. The beloved's body is depicted in various forms in poetry, especially in the form of lyric poetry. In this regard, Saadi's lyric poems can be mentioned in which the beloved body is represented according to the culture and society of Saadi's era and the poet's field of thought. In the present study, an attempt is made to pay attention to the representational-representational methods of the beloved body in Saadi's lyric poems, relying on the descriptive-analytical method. The results indicate that the most prominent sociological approach of the beloved body in Saadi's lyric poems is the cultural approach. Also, the most prominent body-related expression sign belongs to facial and eye states, which are often represented by description and simile.
