Abstract

Gender stereotypes are common cultural stereotypes and behaviors and traits of men and women that lead to superficial misconceptions about one of these groups. In these stereotypes, by comparing and evaluating the distinctive features of groups of men and women, they take a standard case, and finally lead to gender discrimination and are transmitted and reproduced from one generation to the next with traditional and cultural support. Gender modeling begins in childhood, and it is an important part of the process of norm formation and social communication for children, and their gender identity is clearly perceived based on the media and reading of books. Children's books, especially literary works, play an important role in transmitting norms and beliefs based on discrimination of their gender. The vacancy of this issue is clearly evident in Arab critical scholarship. To this end, various issues of the children's magazine Baraem Al-Eman were studied to study this issue in Arabic literary works. There is evidence of gender stereotypes in the children's magazine Buds of Faith stories, which are manifested in four groups: personality traits, social roles, roles within the family, and professional roles. To extract the gender stereotypes from the aforementioned work. The first impression is that the spectrum of gender stereotypes in Baraem Al Eman magazine is more prominent in professional and family roles.
