Abstract

Post modernism is a period of transition from modernism to the real world that started in the following of political, social and cultural movements. This period is a revolutionary and exaggerated from of modernism. Disorder, contradiction, rupture of traditions, hesitation and hesitation in human understanding of the world around themselves are the main foundation of this area. following these developments and the change in the philosophical attitude of man in the twentieth century, are important development took place in the field of literature as well, and the writers is break down of the old traditions and have knowledge in the writing that is completely in conflict with the old literature. Features of this literary period include: pluralism, collage, irregularly, stream of consciousness, indeterminacy and so on. kamal Aboudib(1942) is one of the contemporary Syrian writers who has written a book on the doom of punishment in the form of book elements that conform to some of the characteristics of postmodernist fiction. In this study, using the descriptiveanalytical method, and we attempt to analyze the elements of postmodernism in the book. Initial results suggest that mixing historical events with imagination is one of the hallmarks of postmodernism in this book, and the protagonists great skepticism has led to the postmodernism characteristic of uncertainty over the whole story space.
