Abstract
This thesis examines the theme of Magical Realism in Al- Shottar's novel by Khairy Shalaby. In this research, with the aim of familiarizing with magical realism and its impact on the structure and content of Al- Shottar's novel, attempts have been made to examine the descriptive-analytical method and the use of library resources. Khairy Shalaby is one of the writers who has written irrelevant novels on this subject; By following a logical order, Al- Shottar's novel holds the characters of the story distinctly, without ambiguity and complexity. The feature of this novel is the disarray of time, the association with community problems, illustration and characterization. Khairy Shalaby has benefited from other elements such as duality and tone, and with a critical approach, he respects the writer's impartiality. The theme of Al- Shottar's novel revolves around the dog, that is aware of the circumstances of the Egyptian community; accordingly, it utilizes the magic, charm, illusion and imagination elements appropriately.
