Abstract

in order to evaluate effect of methanol and humic acid spraying on quantitative and qualitative characteristics of marigold, a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design with three replications was conducted in University of Zabol. The experimental treatments was included humic acid 0(Control) and 75 ml.l-1 water , foliar methanol spray (Control, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 %). In this study some morphological traits (shoot height, length, fresh and dry weight of root, fresh and dry weight of shoot, fresh and dry weight of flower, Height) Physiological traits (chlorophyll a, b and carotenoid) and activities of antioxidant enzymes (Peroxidase, Ascorbate peroxidase, Polyphenol oxidase and Catalase) were estimated experiment. The results showed that humic acid had a significant effect on shoot height, length, fresh and dry weight of root, fresh and dry weight of shoot, fresh and dry weight of flower, Height, chlorophyll a, b and carotenoid, Peroxidase, Ascorbate peroxidase, Polyphenol oxidase and Catalase. On the other hand, the effect of methanol spraying on the traits was significant, So that with increasing Foliar Concentration, the amount of Photosynthetic pigments and the activity of antioxidant defense system (Enzymatic), traits increased. The highest amount of shoot height, length, fresh and dry weight of root, fresh and dry weight of shoot, fresh and dry weight of flower, Height, chlorophyll a, b and carotenoid, Peroxidase, Ascorbate peroxidase, Polyphenol oxidase and Catalase was related to 25% methanol treatment. Also, the results of interaction showed that the combined of methanol and humic acid had a significant effect on shoot height, length, fresh and dry weight of root, chlorophyll a, b and carotenoid, Peroxidase, Ascorbate peroxidase, Polyphenol oxidase and Catalase, So that The highest of them were obtained from 25% volumes of methanol and 75 ml.l-1 of humic acid.
