Abstract
City and Region, both manmade and natural systems that have an impact on each other intimately. Climate, location, condition, and special appropriate that in the meantime, restrictions on urban design as well. In different spaces design the city, such as buildings, green spaces, streets, etc., in addition to considering quality of performance, visual and aesthetical, considering the type of climate and climate is essential principles Neglect of this problem creates special problems in cities. So the goal of this research is Analysis of the role of climate on urban housing (case study: Zabol city).The research method is descriptive and analytic and is based on librarian documentary and field studies. For reaching this goal the data were collected and investigated and questionnaire were distributed in Zabol and were analyzed by using Arc Gis, SPSS software and models of SWOT and VICOR. The results of the questionnaire indicating non-compliance with planning and housing design has been tailored to the the climate. The results of the evaluation and ranking of Section 5 of Zabol neighborhoods considering climatic factors in the design and planning of housing construction using VICOR show That the district 7, Section 5 of Zabol, district 34 points (1) and neighborhood in the first place with a score of 38 (0.000) in seventh place. The result of SWOT model shows 8 internal strength against 10 internal weakness and 10 external opportunity against 8 external threat.
