Abstract

Nowadays, because of knowing the side effects of chemical drugs, turning to the use of medicinal plants and traditional methods of treatment of the diseases is increasing. Meanwhile, knowing the chemical compositions of plants kinds and also knowing different stages of phenology and their operation time is useful factor. The purpose of this research is to study some of the different ecological properties (soil) and phytochemistry (essence) of the three species, Nepeta saccharata, Nepeta crassifolia and Nepeta cataria in different phenological stages in Baladeh region of the city of Noor mazandaran province. Sampling in studied rangelands was conducted by systematic- randomized method in three phenological stages (vegetative, blooming and seeding) and in four replications. The extraction essence of any plants was obtained by Clevenger apparatus and distillation method with water. To identify the constitutive compositions of the essence of each sample the used way was gas chromatography connected to the mass spectrometer (GC/MS). The data was analysed by ANOVA test. Among the different phenological stages of the three species, blooming stage had uttermost and vegetative stage had lowest amount of extraction essence. In the three speices (Nepta sacchrata, Nepeta crassifolia and Nepeta cataria) the difference of essence amount between the phonological stages was meaningful (p<0/05). In total of the three stages (vegetative, blooming and seeding) of Nepeta sacchrata species, 61 compounds were identified. The important compounds included Hexadecamethyl- Octasiloxane- (28/01 percent) and Eicosane (18/78 percent), Alpha Amyrin (15/93 percent) and 2-6- Octadienal; 3,7-Dimethyl (14/82 percent). In total of the three stages (vegetative, blooming and seeding) of Nepeta crassifolia species, 40 compounds were identified. Important compounds include 1S-Cis-Calamenene, (27/20 percent), Eicosane (21/82 percent), Tetradecamethyl Cycloheptasiloxan (9/93 percent) and Hexamethyl, Cyclotrisiloxane (CAS) (8/14 percent). In total of the three stages (vegetative, blooming and seeding) of Nepeta cataria species, 97 compounds were identified. Important compounds include Cyclopenta [c] pyran- 1 (4aH) -One, 5, 6, 7, 7a- Tetrahydro- 4, 7- Doethyl- (CAS) (36/21 percent), Elemol (14/86 percent), 2-Ethyl-4-Methyethyl- 2-Cyclohexan- 1- One (8/94 percent) and Trans.- Beta.- Farensene (15/55 percent). Blooming stage (early spring to late summer) is as the best time to harvest the air organs of mentioned speas for the extraction of essence.
