Abstract
The water resources, in many areas of the world are decreasing and the climate changes resulted from the increasing temperature, decreased rainfall, as well as increasing competition among non agricultural uses. In Iran the instability conditions of climate, and lack of uniform distribution of time - place of rainfalls, resulted in fluctuations in the amount of surface water. Due to the increasing water needs and the occurrence of periodic droughts, water conservation and efficient use of it seems necessary. Hamoun wetlands is one of the important wetlands over the world that placed in a warm and dry climate condition. Lack of rainfall with too much evaporation, decreased the water flows of Hirmand River and turn it into dry pan, which led to occurring some drought in the studied region. In the current study, at first, two methods, deficit irrigation and irrigation efficiency, has been used in order to optimize the crop pattern and water use management. Then through scenario making, nonlinear programming model was used to assess the saving water. The effects of water supply needed for Hamoun wetlands and coping with climate change in Hamoun wetlands was discussed. The applied sceneries involved 10 and 20 percent deficit irrigation and increased irrigation efficiency at the levels of 50, 75, and 90 percent. The results showed that appling the deficit irrigation of 10 and 20 percent lead to savings the amount of surface water into 62242610, 86698040 cubic meters of decreased profit as a result of water stocking is more than that of decreased water, that such a matter will be resulted in lowered motive among the agronomists to reserve the water. Applying the sceneries of increased irrigation water efficiency at 3 levels of 50, 75 and 90 percent led to increasing the amount of existing water. On the other hand, the amount of the increased profit was more than the amount of increased existing water, this increases the agronomists tendency to reserve water and applying it in economic and environmental purposes. When the results of applying this strategies were analyzed, increasing the irrigation efficiency in the region was more emphasized than the deficit irrigation strategy
