Abstract
The aim of this was to evaluate the effect of Nano clay particles and maleic anhydrate polypropylene as a Compatibilizer on physical, mechanical and morphological characteristics of wood-plastic composites from the polypropylene- Haloxylon wood floor. For this purpose, Haloxylon wood-flour with 50 percent weight ratio were mixed with polypropylene and Compatibilizer material with 0 and 3% weight ratios were used as a coupling agent material. Material mixing process was applied into the extruder device and the specimens for physical and mechanical testes were tested by the injection molding method. The physical testes such as water absorption, thickness swell and mechanical tests such as bending, tensile and impact were performed on specimens according to the ASTM standard. Electron microscope was used for scanning; coupling agent material for displaying the type of performance and X-ray diffraction was used for realizing the type of causing structure in manufactured Nano composite. The results showed that with addition of the coupling agent material, mechanical strength were increased so that the groovy impact strength, water absorption and thickness swelling were decreased .The results of scanning electron microscope showed that the interface between the polymeric matrix and natural reinforce was improved. On the other hand, the results of X-ray diffraction showed that the types of manufactured structural in produced Nano composite were like between layers.
