Abstract
Productivity growth is an important factor in reducing world poverty. Developing countries are faced with the problem of low productivity. In this study the relationship between productivity growth and poverty reduction are examined in countries of Iran, Pakistan and Turkey, where 70 percent of GNP allocated to the ECO member states. The model used is a stochastic function to generate the Latent Class. Efficiency of the technology used for the calculation of technical efficiency and total productivity index, with a stochastic frontier model for the Latent classes were calculated separately for each country. Relationship between agricultural productivity and poverty reduction, through the calculation of per capita real GDP growth and inequality change using data needed from 1990 to 2010 for selected countries of ECO respectively. The results indicate an overall increase in agricultural productivity as well as its positive effect on the poor countries is studied.
