Abstract
Village as a productive sector and provider of the essential human needs plays a significant role in the growth and development of the country. Unfortunately, the life quality in rural areas is lower than that in urban areas. Construction of Industrial Township, around the town and nearby villages can absorb surplus labor from the agricultural sector, subsequently; the quality of rural life can be improved and developed. Since the life quality is mostly value-oriented, it should be considered both subjectively and objectively in each society. The subjective indicators represent the ability to understand the factors that affect people's life. On the other hand, objective indicators assess the environmental aspects which are difficult to measure. Nevertheless, this issue has not been adequately studied. Thus, the aim of this study was to assess the impacts of Khayyam Industrial Township on the quality of Neyshabur Villager’s life areas based on objective and subjective indicators and through descriptive-analytical methods. The required data was collected through documentation and library studies, scientific papers, field observations, questionnaires. Then, the obtained data was analyzed through SPSS software. The results of single-sample T test analysis with significance level of Sig=0.000 and t=96.863 showed that Khayyam Industrial Township affected the life quality of Villagers. Further, a statistically significant difference was noticed between the impacts of this Township on the objective and subjective indicators of life quality, which indicates that the effects on objective indicators (M = 2.63) are stronger than those on subjective indicators (M = 2.55). Moreover, statistically significant difference was observed between the effects of this industrial area on the life quality of employed villagers with natural resources (water and land) and the same effects on the life quality of employed villagers lacking these resources, indicating that the former (M =2.51) was significantly higher than the latter (M= 1.92). Finally, the findings obtained through Absorption Model revealed that the highest employment absorption strength of this industrial township was related to Sahel Borj village with absorption strength of 354.70 and the lowest employment absorption strength was related to Saeed Abad Village with absorption strength of .47.
