Abstract

Esophageal cancer, with approximately 386,000 deaths per year is the eighth most common cancer and the sixth cause of cancer death in the world. Carcinoma of the esophagus in Iran, possibly due to genetic or environmental factors is of high prevalence. Key RAS proteins that stimulate the growth of cells to the cell membrane to the nucleus are very large and RAS wrong performance leads to the development of ultra irregularities, resulting in cancer. RAS oncogene for esophageal cancer on expression was studied in the Sistan and Baluchistan province. To do this, paraffin (blocks) samples, as tumor samples 15 and 15 control samples were obtained from the archives of the Department of Pathology in Amiralmomenin hospital in Zabol and Real time PCR method for the evaluation of gene expression and the ΔΔCt method was used for data analysis. No other nonspecific bands were observed. All the PCR reactions in triplicate for genes of Ras and beta-actin internal control by method (Livac) 2-ΔΔCt were performed. Target gene expression levels in patients and controls no significant. Between RAS gene expression in healthy and patient groups and there was no significant difference between men and women.
