Abstract

In order to study the effects of foliar micronutrient application under water stress at three stages of growth on quality and quantity characteristics of sunflower (Alster cultivar), a field experimental in split plot design with three replications was conducted in Alster cultivar was comprised under water stress at three stages of growth (heading, flowering and grain filling) as main plot and seven micronutrient treatments, Fe, Zn, Mn, Fe+Zn, Fe+Zn, Zn+Mn and Fe+Zn Mn, as sub plots. Results showed, water stress at three stages of growth significantly decreased grain yield, biological yield, weight seeds, and cap diameter and cap weight of sunflower (Alster cultivar). Results showed that entering the drought treatments to the each growth stage will significantly reduce the grain yield, biological yield, 1000 grain weigh, cap diameter and cap weight. The greatest effect of drought treat is related to grains filling stage which cause to significant reduce in grain yield, biological yield, 1000 grain weight, cap diameter, cap weight and the density of Fe and Mn of grain. Through this, the quantity of grain protein in grains filling stage was greatest than two other stages. The greatest quantity of Fe and Mn of grain was gained through the drought entering in cap appearance stage and the greatest quantity of Zn was gained in grains filling stage. In this examination the Foliar Micronutrient Application has the significant effect on density of Fe, Zn, Mn and grain protein percentage, but in the statistical view doesn’t have the significant effect on grain yield. In this examination, the greatest percentage of protein is related to foliar application of Fe, Zn, Mn and the greatest quantity of Fe, Zn and Mn was gained in Fe foliar treatment, foliar of Fe+Zn Mn and treatment of Mn foliar. Among the micronutrients, Mn has the greatest positive effect on various quantitative and qualitative characteristics of Sunflower. Entering the drought effect in all three growth stages, caused to increscent in quantity of osmosis adjustment, their greatest increscent was related to flowering stage. Also, because of water stress, the micronutrients caused to increscent in quantity of metabolism and accumulation of these two combinations in leaves green texture.
