Abstract

Becoming industrialized is being regarded as the basis for achieving development in today’s world; and to get this aim, we need to enhance the economical conditions and life of villagers the strategy of creating industrial towns has been adopted by the planners. Establishing and expanding industrial towns can have a great impact on the balance between city and village and the development of rural areas through creation of variety and increasing income and employment, raising added value of agricultural activities, and expanding industrial culture. Thus, the aim of this study is to assess the impacts of Mohammad Abad industrial town of Hamoun township on the quality of life of employees of the industrial town and the adjacent villages’ inhabitants according to social, economic, biological and bodily indicators using analytical-descriptive methods. The data are gathered through document and library studies, field observations and questionnaires. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS and GIS software. The results indicate that according to the opinion of employed and unemployed people of adjacent villages of Mohammad Abad industrial town, they could use the facilities of this town to improve their situation. Therefore, based on the one-sample T-test and the obtained level of significance, Mohammad Abad industrial town has been effective in improving the quality of life of the two sample populations (villagers and employees in Mohammad Abad industrial town).
