Abstract

Emotion, which in psychology is an emotional reaction or the perception of emotional changes and arousals of the body, has three cognitive, physiological and behavioral components. Plachik is a psychologist who by presenting the theory of innate emotion He has designed the conical or emotional cycle model. In his model, he recognizes eight emotions (acceptance, happiness, anger, anticipation, disgust, sadness, fear, surprise) as the main and primary emotions, which have different degrees of intensity or weakness in the degree of arousal. In this model, octagonal three-part cones are designed, and a circle is drawn from the connection of each part, and the first circle is dedicated to the main emotions. The main emotions are combined in this cycle and create many emotions that through their recognition, one can understand the personality traits of a person. Fiction and especially the novel, which uses the power of imagination and imagination to create multiple characters with the display of diverse emotions, always has the ability to provide the reader with such an opportunity to be similar from one side to the other. It deals with creating the emotions experienced in the real world, and on the other hand, makes the emotions tangible inside itself, which it encounters for the first time through the characters of the novel. Based on this, the results indicate to analyze and evaluate the primary, secondary and mixed emotions of the characters of the novel Khabs Ali Tayba al-Khal Milad written by Mohammad Al-Naas, using a descriptive-analytical method and based on Plachik's emotional cycle, in which the author chooses A social issue processes several characters that display their diverse and different emotions. The results indicate that the most frequent primary, secondary and combined emotions of the mentioned novel are the emotions of fear, anger and obedience, respectively
