Abstract

In recent years, using the potential of inefficient tissues in cities is one of the strategies mentioned in the literature on the progress of cities in order to achieve sustainable development. In fact, urban regeneration emerged as an important emerging area of public sector intervention intended to support less developed areas. Therefore, in this research, the sustainable development indicators have been analyzed in the ineffective neighborhoods of Zabul city for the implementation of urban regeneration projects. The statistical population of the study includes Masoum Abad and Bagh Abad neighborhoods, which are ineffective neighborhoods in Zabul city. To determine the sample size, 15 questionnaires were prepared and distributed among the experts of the municipality and Zabul University. The research method is based on the review of library resources, field surveys and completing the questionnaire, the collected information has been analyzed using the nvivo model, and the research results show that the most important problems and problems of the dysfunctional neighborhood of Masoom Abad are related to the Social and the most important problems and problems of the dysfunctional neighborhood of Baghrababad are related to the physical dimension. It was also found that the most important strategy for the regeneration of the studied inefficient neighborhoods in the direction of sustainable development in Masoum Abad neighborhood is the strategies of "increasing citizen participation" and "increasing institutional trust" and in Baqrabad neighborhood the strategies of "improving the environmental and physical condition of citizens" and "preparing plans and Revival, improvement and renovation programs are based on the real needs of the residents.
