Abstract

According to formalists, the story is a chain of events in time sequence; Therefore, it is considered the only institution of narration. From this point of view, pirang does not refer only to the logical and causal framework of the story; It also includes all aesthetic arrangements such as language, theme and narrative techniques. Therefore, these three components configure the story structure artistically. On the other hand, due to the variety of narrative techniques, the methods of reed weaving become more diverse. Therefore, knowing the methods of dating becomes especially important. Knowing Pirang allows the reader to experience the story well and understand it during a certain time process. Rabi Jaber (1972), a contemporary Lebanese novelist, is one of the innovative storytellers who uses various measures in his novels in order to create diversity in story processing and create a strange and unusual atmosphere. In this research, an attempt is made to examine the plot of the two novels "Rahleh al-Gharnati" and "Taqreer Melis" by Rabi Jaber with a formalistic perspective and to analyze the strategies used in the different levels of plot of these two novels. Considering that these two works were written under the influence of modern storytelling forms; It can be said that the author has violated the conventional patterns of traditional plotting in both novels and has created a kind of chaos and breaking norms in the plot of the novel by using discontinuity techniques in the narrative.
