Abstract

In a classification, Sufi prose texts can be divided into two categories: "Maghloob Speech" which rules the realm of intuitive experiences and inner perceptions of the writer, and "Motemaken Speech" which includes the domain of formal knowledge and terminological knowledge of Sufis. Ghazali's Savannah-al-Oshagh and Molavi's Fihe Ma Fih are among the most prominent Sufi texts of Persian literature; each is unique in its own way. Fihe Ma Fih by Molavi is a great poem in the field of mystical literature, which is chosen as a representative of Motemaken writing in this research, and Ghazali's Savannah-al-Oshagh, is selected as a representative of the Maghloob text in Sufi literature. In this descriptive-analytical research, the features of Motemaken and Maghloob writing have been investigated in these two works in terms of content, form, and function. The findings of this research indicate that the most important components of the content in Savannah-al-Oshagh are the verb of writing and the metaphorical pole of the language, which are among the most obvious characteristics of the Maghloob language, and in the Fihe Ma Fih, the collective consciousness and intertextuality are the most used components, which is one of the most obvious characteristics of the Motemaken speech.
