Abstract

Water resources management in our country is one of great importance due to the dry climate of our country. Sistan and Baluchestan province is one of the driest provinces in the country, whose water and groundwater resources are at a very low and critical level. Practical solutions should be used to manage water resources. In selecting these solutions, the Water and Sewerage Department pays attention to the four criteria of feasibility, implementation time, implementation cost and environmental compliance. The opinions of 41 regional water experts of Sistan and Baluchestan, experts of Sistan and Baluchestan Water and Soil Resources Development Company, experts of desert section of Zabol Natural Resources Department and experts of Sistan and Baluchestan Agricultural Research Center were used in the form of a questionnaire. The TOPSIS technique was used to prioritize the 9 identified strategies. The result of the research showed the strategy of organizing, guiding and educating the people in the dimensions of executive cost and compliance with the environment and feasibility; And the strategy of increasing the quantity and implementation of management methods in agriculture in order to improve the quality of groundwater based on the criteria of implementation time, the most important and most practical strategy of water resources management in Zabol were identified.
