Abstract

Increasing the resilience of villagers is one of the basic solutions in facing risks and crises in rural environments. In this regard, various factors have an effect on increasing the level of resilience of villagers, and one of these factors is attention to human development indicators. In fact, human development, as an important factor, plays a significant role in increasing the resilience of villagers, and it is possible to give a new life to the development process of villages by considering this factor. Based on this, the aim of this research is to investigate the impact of human development on the resilience of rural settlements in Hirmand city. The main research method is a combination of descriptive-analytical methods based on library, documentary and field studies and the use of interviews with villagers and questionnaires. make. The size of the studied sample at the village level using Sharp's modified formula, the number of 40 villages and at the household level using the Cochran formula, the number of 323 villagers was determined. SPSS, Excel and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of the regression fitting model show the positive impact of human development indicators on the dimensions of resilience of the studied villages to the extent of 0.932. Also, the results of the regression model show that the indicators of human development have the highest influence on the economic, social and physical components with the value (0.701, 642 and 0.523 percent), respectively. Also, the results showed that the education component with a T value of 47.830 and an average of 3.30% is the most important factor of human development affecting rural resilience and the greatest effect of human development is on the economic dimension of resilience of villages in Hirmand.
