Abstract

One of the most obvious issues that human beings have dealt with in the literary form has been the subject of society and especially the utopia. Adib usually tries to paint a similar picture of his community in which he grew up by addressing the good or bad problems of society. . So that the expression of the problems and problems of the society shows the disorder of the society which is called dystopia or anti-utopia. In this way, the main goal of the author is to solve those problems and in the context of his text, he tries to correct them in order to achieve an utopia in reality from a dystopian society. . Thus, from the point of view of literary sociology, a literary work can be criticized and evaluated in the society in which the author grew up. Mohammad Ibrahim Qandil, a contemporary Egyptian writer, speaks of a dystopia in his novel "Zol al-Tifah" in which the society has many social problems in the literary context. . Hence, the authors of the present study felt the need for a sociological analysis of the dystopian novel "Shadow of Happiness".This research aims to use a descriptive-analytical method of dystopia and the main purpose of the author in the novel under discussion is a sociological literary analysis. The initial approach suggests that the author, by addressing the issue of human descent from heaven to the mortal world, recounts the bitterness of all human societies, but then specifically devotes his subject and purpose to the inverted world of his society and tries to recount the disorder of his society. To inspire the spirit of unity and solidarity to achieve an utopia.
