Abstract

The history of Bayhaqi is a narration from the history of the Ghaznavid dynasty in the language of a writer and secretary who himself has witnessed many stories and events and in stories that he was not present, he hears and narrates anecdotes from a trusted language. It is one of the most valuable works of Persian prose, which is important from both literary and historical points of view according to its subject. It is practical. The principles of prakmatism include realism, relativism, expediency, instrumentalism, and consequentialism. This style of thinking is the criterion of truth only in the results; The propositions are tangible and objective. This research is done in a descriptive-analytical way and the information is collected in a documentary and library way. In this research, based on the findings of the research in the third chapter, it is observed that those components of pragmatism that can be compared and measured with historical narratives in Beyhaqi's book are significantly derived from the specific conditions of Beyhaqi's history. , And all the principles and foundations of the school of pragmatism are applicable to the history of Beyhaqi, and from the principles of the school of pragmatism, the expediency component has the highest frequency in the history of Beyhaqi.
