Abstract
The communication network of cities plays the role of its vital arteries and is one of the main and important determining lines in urban development plans. The importance of communication network, both pedestrian and sidewalk in urban design is such that they can not be considered separately from each other, because all the activities of the inhabitants of a city, including commercial, cultural, administrative, social and ... activities are completely dependent. It is connected to the network and this is especially important in the central part of the city. Ignoring the basic rules of communication network design causes confusion and rupture and causes many problems in this part of the city. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the problems of the carriageway and pedestrian network of the central city of Zabol. The research method is descriptive-analytical dissertation based on library studies, documentary and field studies. In this regard, 324 citizens of Zabol were selected as a sample community and a questionnaire was distributed and completed among them. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS software and one-sample t-test. Also, the effect of communication network around the central tissue on the communication network of this tissue with City Engine software and Geographic Information System (GIS) was studied. it placed. The results of this study indicate that Shahid Bagheri, Shahd Motahhari, Taleghani, Helmand and Ferdowsi streets have the first priority of attention in terms of evaluating the problems of pedestrian and pedestrian crossing networks. Also, the most important problem of the pedestrian network in Zabol city is the narrow width of the central streets and the most important problem of the sidewalk is the existence of various obstacles on the sidewalks.
