Abstract

Pesticides are various chemicals used to control pests. These compounds can be divided into insecticides, larvae, herbicides, fungicides and rodenticides depending on the type of pest. Diazinon toxin falls into the category of persistent contact and penetrating toxins. These compounds are slightly soluble in water, but are relatively soluble in fats. In this study, the comparison of pH-assisted and temperature-assisted liquid phase microextraction methods using variable hydrophilic solvents in diazinon measurement by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was investigated. Factors affecting extraction including solvent type, solvent volume, pH, extraction time, temperature and salt addition were investigated. Under optimal conditions, the methods were evaluated and their figure of merit were calculated. Including the linear range for the pH-assisted method and the temperature-assisted method in the range of 10-250 μg/L, Also, the detection limit of two methods was 3 μg/L. Relative standard deviations were calculated for the microextraction method with temperature changes of 6.3 and for microextraction with pH changes of 5.8.The efficiency of the method in the analysis of real samples was also evaluated.
