Abstract
Nowadays, the importance of safety, convenience and comfort levels in urban spaces for user different groups of these spaces covered for nobody so be considered index (safety, comfort and convenience) as the most important elements to survey and assess urban spaces desirability level. One of the most important urban spaces, to be public spaces (especially street), which always have been observation more user capacity for its level, hence as city part important indifferent dimension to respond to citizens need most major. One of the important classes of spaces user, are women class, who as a potential tool according to assess their role in urban spaces safety and comfort measure, can be very effective to assess and create good urban spaces. Based on, the urban spaces safety and convenience see women, as most important objective of this study is discussed. The research method is descriptive- analytical base on PUA method (participatory way) and cross review (undergraduate- professional), in the study area level. PUA patterns using, has been done in four steps: 1- Preparing 2- Meetings discussion 3- Solution and suggestion and 4- project executive. Therefore, four Imam, Atayie, North and South KHayam streets were selected as the study areas, located in the central part of Urmia city, that the single service center of the city always have maximum visitors in their level. The statically society included all Urmia city women over 15 years, that diversity of participants classes referred range, in three categories: Community residents, employers and clients were classified. In this basis, attempted to talk way meeting between the three groups in the PUA community and research finding were presented in form statically tables, charts and images and consequently, analysis information obtained through system geographic information (GIS) and techniques have been SWOT. Research results in two dimensions evaluate situation and evaluate the role of women within the study of urban spaces showed that after the first although Urmia central public spaces see maximum visitors throughout the town, are increasingly comfort and safety indicators(based on field studies and women’s comments) has not been a good situation, in this regard, two Imam and Atayie street respectively has a down percentage of comfort and safety, and North and South KHayam respectively have a higher percent of safety, and the next second, assess the role and function of the status of women in the study of positive urban spaces, respectively. Finally, analysis and recommendations resulting from research findings (participatory and field); in order to improve the situation has been presented.
