Abstract

In this study, the taxonomic family of wasps Pompilidae (Hymenoptera: Vespoidae) in Sistan region. The Pompilidae (Spider Wasp) is one of the largest families order Hymenoptera and because of the complexity of behavior, had an important place and of great importance in biological control of pests. In the present study sampling was conducted from Sistan region in the years 2016-2017. Several examples were collected with sweeping net and Malaise trap. The specimens were identified using morphological characters keys to genus level and in some cases to species level identification to final confirmation for Dr. Christian Schmid- Egger in Germany sent. In a taxonomic study of the family 15 species from 9 genera and 3 subfamily Pompilinae, Pepsinae and Ceropalinae. Species, including: Agenioideus arenicolus (Priesner,1955), Agenioideus ciliatus (Lepeletier,1845), Agenioideus cinnabarinus (Gussakovskij,1929), Agenioideus dichrous (Brulle,1840), Agenioideus rhodosoma (Kohl,1886), Agenioideus zarudnyi (Gussakovskij,1932), Anoplius viaticus (Linnaeus,1758), Aporinellus rhodesianus (Bischoff,1913), Aporinellus sexmaculatus (Spinola,1805), Ceropales juncoi Giner,1945, Cryptocheilus sarbaz Zonstein, 2007, Icazus arcanus (Priesner,1955), Parabatozonus fuliginosus(Klug,1834), Telostegus vachali (Saunders,1901) and Xenaporus caspisojus Wolf,1990. 7 Species Agenioideus arenicolus (Priesner,1955) , Agenioideus cinnabarinus (Gussakovskij,1929), Agenioideus rhodosoma (Kohl,1886), Aporinellus rhodesianus (Bischoff,1913), Ceropales juncoi Giner,1945, Cryptocheilus sarbaz Zonstein, 2007 and Xenaporus caspisojus Wolf,1990 are newly recorded for the fauna of Iran.
