Abstract

Cities suffer from serious problems in the political, economic, social, environmental and physical areas. In recent decades, the cities of Iran have changed, these changes were unbalanced in the form of rapid population growth and the excessive spread of cities. Organizing the city and how it evolves requires the urban subject matter and urban issues and then planning for it. One of the vital issues of this century about the quality of urban life is urban form. The purposes of this research are to assess and identify the damage and problems of linear cities and determine the most important problem or damage to these cities, as well as provide solutions for organizing these issues, which have been studied in the case of Kahnooj. The methodology of this research is descriptive-analytical and based on library and field studies. In this regard, the required data and information is provided through valid references and partly through questionnaire and Delphi's technique. In this research, statistical analysis of spss, Excel, GIS, Fuzzy ahp and adaptation matrix was used to analyze the data. The results show that the city of Kahnooj has been damaged in terms of economic, social, cultural, environmental and servicerelated aspects and state that the main damage to the city of Kahnooj was urban services and utilities, which arose from the linear form of the city. Also, utilities and urban services do not have adequate placement and dispersion. Finally, the analysis shows that it is better to out the linear form of the physical development of the city and be directed to the east of the city.
