Abstract
Stylistics is a method to recognize artistic value of a work. In other words, stylistics is an autopsy of a literary text that brings the audience closer to attitudes and abilities of creator of a literary work. The idea of mystic literary texts is a field that can be studied stylistically in terms of richness in language and thought. Shams al Din Mohammad Maghrebi is a known mystic of 15th century whose poems are filled with mystic themes. On the other hand, his Divan includes poems in three languages: Persian, Arabic and Turkish. Despite the key role of Arabic poems in understanding the intellectual system of the poet, Arabic poems have been neglected by researchers. Therefore, as stylistics considerably contributes to text criticism in various linguistic, literary and intellectual dimensions, the author aimed at studying Arabic poems of this mystic poet using a descriptive-analytical and a stylistic approach. The primary results of this study revealed that repetition was more frequently used in Arabic poems of Shams Maghrebi at the linguistic level. Moreover, at the literary level, ironic metaphor was used more frequently, and concepts connected with God’s love stand out at the intellectual level.
