Abstract

Wetland are one of the most important manitestation of nature that play an importantrole in the livelihoods and economic conditions of their surrounding areas. But with their drought and destruction, they can inflict irreparable losses on the natural environment of these areas. One of these wetlands is the wetland of Hamoun Sistan lake, which consists of three wetlands( Pouzak, Saboori, Hirmand) with an area of approximately 5700 square kilometers, which in the years and seasons is filled with water as a unique lagoon. The economy of the Sistan region is affected by the cmditions of this wetland, so that in the drought seasons, the area of livelihoods is dwindled over the inhabitants ,causing irre parable damage to the regional economic complex. Despite the drought and dampness of the wetland, we are witnessing the establishment of livelihoods for the residents of the nearby wetland. This research was camed out with the aim of investigating the evolution of livelihood activites in the villages associated with Pouzak and Saboori Hamoons during the water and blue periods. The statistiad population of the study is a village located at a distance of 2 km from the Pouzak and Saboori wetlands. The range includes.33 villages with a population of 2995 households.Using the Cochran formula, 340 families have been designatedas sample societics. The method of this research is descriptive- analytical and based on documentary sources, completion of the questionnaire.Paired t-test and software of Arc Gis, SPSS, Export Choic, were also used to analyze the data. The results of this research indicate that the level of livelihoods related to the Pouzak and Saboori Hamoons, in the surrounding villages, have had a positive effect on the economic and livelihood conditions of the inhabitants. But in the abandonment periods, economic and environmental sustainability has declined sharply and has prevented the exploitation of the and wetland.
