Abstract
The present study investigated COX-2 gene expression in patients with esophageal cancer by real time PCR and Pffafle method. All PCR reactions were performed in triplicate for both target gene and internal control. Differences in target gene expression levels in patients and controls were evaluated with t-test, p≤0. 05 were considered as significant level. The results demonstrated a significant increase in the COX-2 expression level in cancer patients compared with control group (p<0.05)
