Abstract

Nowadays, in order to develop rural areas, evolution and development in small towns functions have had an important role in meeting their occupational, educational and sanitarian opportunities. It has also decreased migration to rural areas and their dependency to upper level cities. Agro-Cities,in the form of agricultural products markets of rural areas,can act as social-economic catalysts for their surrounding areas and regions. The present study is aimed at analyzing the evolution trend of economic, social and cultural functions of Firouzeh city after its emergence and development and also the role of these evolutions in surrounding rural areas. The method research of this study is descriptive- analytical. The population of this research is including all of the household’s supervisors of Firouzeh surrounding rural areas, which was calculated 302 households as samples by Cochran method. Required data were collected from documental, library and survey method. To analyze data,SPSS software and also descriptive and inferential methods were used. Results showed that the development and improvement of economic, social and cultural functions of Firouzeh city have had an important and remarkable role in development of surrounding rural areas.
