Abstract

One of the fundamental issues in geography is the impact of climate on the assessment of indicators of human life, and this is due to urban designers and planners. Today's maximum efforts of these urban planners and designers are concentrated on the data used in regional climate and facilities to improve the quality of life in residential areas and provide comfortable spaces with desired energy. Because of the importance of regional climate indicators and comfort in public spaces such as designing and planning parks and sidewalks, it is necessary to assess the status of implementation of the various program elements and always consider groups of urban planners and designers. In this case, the present research indicates climate indices and their application in public urban sectors such as designing and planning public parks and sidewalks with an emphasis on the study of Zabol city as a case study. To achieve this goal, we first attempted to investigate and gather data regarding the sovereignty of hot and dry weather conditions in Zabol city. In addition, we considered the knowledge of the characteristics of a specific geographical area such as Sistan’s 120-day winds in the planning and designing public spaces Zabol. In the meantime, appropriate methods for planning and designing urban public spaces such as parks and sidewalks, are created by using Auto cad, 3-D max and other designing soft wares. Results of the study revealed comprehensive and detailed plans about Zabol city and planning under climatic elements
