Abstract
Resistance literature is a type of literature with many features and divisions. Part of resistance literature is about works being written in prison or describing its atmosphere, and expresses the prisoners’ and captives’ patience and bravery against the warders and their unlimited tyranny. Ma’sumeh Abad, Seyyed Nasser Hosseinipour and Mohammadreza Barati are among the writers who have described the harmful and gloomy atmosphere of prison in such a way that any enlightened reader can be affected. In this descriptive-analytical study that was conducted based on the works of the above writers, it has been attempted to describe the appearance of the prison as well as inner feelings of the prisoners, living conditions in prison, and the conduct of the warders toward prisoners based on the works of these writers, and to investigate the extent of strength and skill of each of the writers. The results indicate that Seyyed Nasser Hossieni has been more successful in benefiting from the features of prison literature.
